About Cleveland Theaters and Entertainment

As the home of the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame, Cleveland is one of the rock capitals of America and is a regular tour stop for all big names in rock music. Most of the city's major concerts are held at the Quicken Loans Arena (formerly the Gund Arena) in the downtown district.

In addition to rock concerts, there is a burgeoning live theater and performing arts scene in the city. Playhouse Square is home to four recently restored theaters: the State, Ohio, Allen and Palace theaters. Shows staged in Playhouse Square range from touring plays and Broadway shows to local features such as 'Dance Cleveland' and the Great Lakes Theater Festival.

Cleveland is also a great place to hear some up-and-coming young bands and many of the biggest names in rock and roll got their start right here in the city. Favourite places to go out and listen to live music include the Agora Theater and Ballroom and Peabody's Down Under. The recently opened House of Blues is a great place to have dinner and listen to some top-quality blues.
